Next Generation - CAROPLANE!

Wouldn't it be amazing and great if you could have a car which can fly as well!
No need to wait for a friend of yours to come and pick at the airport, no traffic delays.
Terrafugia has completed the flight test of the caroplane, land at an airport and just fold your wings and drive home, awesome isn't it? It requires the Pilot/Driver to have a special license to operate it.

Range - 725 Kilometers at 185 KMPH max both on air and road.

For now it can be operated only under VFR. Terrafugia is expected to do a flight test under IFR, so that it can be operated under IF conditions as well.

HAL's Light Combat Helicopter gets airbourne

The first flight of the Light Combat Helicopter already a year late happened at the HAL airport Bengaluru (Bangalore) , India. The LCH is facing a lot of criticism for being over weight.
The LCH has got one of the most complex aeronautical stealth sensor and weapon technology. It is aimed at crashing the other light attack copters like the Eurocopters' Tiger and the China's ultra secret Zhisheng-10 (Z-10).
It is capable of high altitude performance like taking off from altitudes of 10,000 ft, operating guns and rockets upto 16,000 ft and launching missiles at over 21,000 ft. It is also capable of flying 20-30 ft AGL to escape the radar.
It is expected that LCH might enter service by 2015-2016, and HAL is gearing up to deliver 65 of these to the Indian Air Force (IAF) and 114 to the Indian Army.
HAL remains confident that the LCH will not let them down, as the key technologies used in this have already proven in the Dhurv Light Helicopter, of which 160 are already being build for the IAF and Indian Army.
